DDMA/AWI Corporate Office

Any architectural woodworking firm would want their environment to reflect the specialized workmanship that they put into their client’s interiors. When we had our office designed back in 2006, we tried to do just that. The conditions of this 100-year-old building were not easy to work with. The building’s roof, skylights, and brick walls were not water-tight. Each time it rained, the water would seep in through the walls and ceiling forcing us to install a new roof and re-point the bricks immediately.

One of the biggest challenges at 25 Greene was engineering a koi pond with a filtering system in a remote location. There had to be a way to remove existing water and bring in fresh water whenever necessary. We also had to consider the pipes that had to be placed underneath the pond. The center of our Drafting Department provided a perfect location and also added a beautiful setting to the end of our front hallway.

The biggest success according to the Project Manager was our store front. We had to engineer a store front to fit an existing building using benchmarks and axis lines prior to demolishing the existing store front. Please feel free to take a look at our photos of 25 Greene. This is an atmosphere that reflects our company and that we are proud to enter into everyday.
