Frette Boston
Amity Wood recently completed a new store for luxury linen retailer, Frette, at their location in the Mandarin Oriental Hotel in Boston. The project schedule was a total of twelve weeks, eight weeks of fabrication and four weeks of installation. The job site had a number of obstacles; one in particular was an expansion joint that carried throughout the entire building. As a result, the fixtures, wall panels and mouldings had to be engineered to accommodate this expansion joint. One of the biggest challenges during this job was fabricating and installing a 26” wide ceiling guilloche moulding, which had light pendants suspended through several points. Aside from the distinctive cabinetry, Amity Wood also engineered and fabricated custom solid copper and walnut door pulls for the store’s entryway.
