About

With over 30 years of experience, Daniel DeMarco & Associates has a lot of history behind it.

1989 –

Daniel DeMarco and Associates was established by Daniel DeMarco and current employee, Frank Mauro. At its inception, in 1989, DDMA’s goal was to provide quality service within the architectural millwork industry, while at the same time creating an environment in which employees are valued and able to perform at the highest level.
With our first factory located in Deer Park, New York, we quickly became a top provider of high-end residential cabinetry on Long Island’s North Shore. That first year, we accumulated contacts and clients without an advertising budget. Our work spoke for itself and our client list grew due to word-of-mouth. While DDMA’s reputation was growing, so did our staff.

The 90s –

Retail design began to assume a more residential look and due to the relationships with our general contractors and architects, we were launched into the realm of high-end retail. DDMA became widely recognizable for the high quality of work and service provided for our client’s flagship stores and one-of-a-kind retail venues.
As the number of jobs multiplied and the designs became more specialized, we established our design development and detailed drafting departments to help architects and designers manage the various stages of the engineering process. We also began training our very own project management team internally and promoting from within, as evidenced in the case of Dennis Locher, who became a partner.

The 2000’s –

In May 2005, Dan and Dennis teamed up with longtime friend, Charlie DeTillio and his associate, Gil D’Orazio, to create Amity Wood Industries. The Amity division sought to fill customers’ needs for multiple in-store shop fixtures; allowing one-stop shopping for our clients. We were now able to oversee all aspects of a given project including design development, prototypes, and project management.
DDMA and Amity Wood Industries moved to our current location at 25 Greene Avenue in Amityville, New York, in June 2007. The fully renovated and customized office space underscored the companies’ commitment to our employees and clients alike, by creating an atmosphere that was both professional and creative.
Four years later, in June 2011, DDMA and Amity Wood Industries merged; with Charlie and Gil becoming partners with Dan and Dennis at DDMA.

Present Day –

DDMA now celebrates over 30 years in business! While we have definitely achieved that first goal created by Dan and Frank three decades ago – “to provide quality service within the architectural millwork industry, while at the same time creating an environment in which employees are valued and able to perform at the highest level” – the company still works towards maintaining it each and every day.
